On Friday, June 2, 2023, the Louis Vuitton Foundation hosted NOCTURNE 03 BASQUIAT X WARHOL , to which Maison Hind Kroussa Paris had the immense privilege of being invited. This architectural gem, designed by Frank Gehry, provided an exceptional setting for this evening dedicated to audacity and artistic collaboration.
During the evening, we were captivated by the mesmerizing performances of Mellina Boubetra and Evan Greenaway. This duo of performers represents a unique fusion of hip-hop and contemporary dance, seeking to push the boundaries of physical expression.
The two artists drew inspiration from a vibrant poem to bring their performance to life, seeking a common ground between two hearts and two bodies:
Bodies that follow each other, that live, that love each other
that fall, fly away, vibrate and fight.
To conform to the rules of the other's body
Adapting, but without force, without shock
Apart from that of two hearts pressed against each other
Two bodies seeking a common measure, hoping to stop together.
That would be beautiful.
Like hearts."
The night ended on a festive note on the Foundation's rooftop, offering breathtaking views of Paris. This evening reinforced our commitment to artistic excellence, and we warmly thank the Louis Vuitton Foundation for this memorable invitation.
